Welcome to the Vet+ clinic

Founded in 2015 by Dr. Marie-Hélène Tétreault, the clinic has grown thanks to a dedicated and passionate team. Present since the opening, Dr. Geneviève Courchesne became a partner in 2022, followed by Dr. Serica Shum in 2024. Today, our management trio embodies a strong and inspiring vision: 100% female, 100% local, 100% independent.

Our mission is to provide the best veterinary care for your pet at our clinics in Brossard (South Shore) and Griffintown (Southwest, Montreal). With modern equipment and an experienced team of veterinarians, we ensure high-quality veterinary care tailored to every stage of your pet’s life.

Our veterinary clinic offers a wide range of services, from preventive care to specialized consultations and emergency treatments. Our strong and stable team of veterinarians and technicians is here to care for your pet with professionalism, attention, and compassion.

Our Team

Dr Marie-Hélène Tétreault, DMV

Founder and Co-Owner

Dre Marie-Hélène Tétreault graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2000.

Having worked in New York (Cat Practice on Fifth Avenue), Montreal, and Florida (Veterinary Center of America), she has gained extensive experience that she now dedicates to the well-being of your pet.

Dr. Geneviève Courchesne, DVM

Co-owner

Dre Geneviève Courchesne graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2015.

She joined our team immediately after graduation and quickly became a key member thanks to her leadership and team spirit. She has developed a particular interest in surgery, including dental surgery, in which she excels.

Passionate about art, gastronomy, and board sports, her dedication to surfing takes her traveling to any destination with waves.

Dr Serica Shum, DMV

Co-owner

Dre Serica Shum graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2014.

After earning her degree, Dre Shum worked across various regions of Quebec to gain the knowledge and experience that greatly benefit her patients today. Patient and attentive, she is committed to ensuring the well-being of your pet. She has a keen interest in all areas of general veterinary medicine, with a particular passion for preventive care and dermatology.

In her free time, Dre Shum loves exploring new culinary experiences and spending quality time with her children.

Dr Paola Mejia-Alfaro, DVM

Veterinarian

Dre Paola Mejia-Alfaro graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2016.

Following her graduation, she worked in numerous veterinary clinics and hospitals, expanding her knowledge and expertise to provide high-quality care to her patients today. Passionate about all aspects of general veterinary medicine, she has a particular interest in preventive medicine and alternative medicine.

When she’s not caring for your pets, Dre Mejia-Alfaro loves to travel, read alongside her cat Rocky, and explore hiking trails with her two dogs, Milik and Sachy.

Dr. Myriam Lortie-Watkins D.V.M.

Veterinarian

Dre Myriam Lortie-Watkins graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2020.

She enjoys surgery, particularly dentistry, to give your pets a bright and healthy smile. She also has a keen interest in behavioral medicine, especially for more anxious animals, and a soft spot for geriatric patients, who often require extra care and gentleness.

Outside of work, Dre Lortie-Watkins loves spending time outdoors, watching great movies, and being with family.
